This study investigates the influence of film strip media on students' ability to write persuasive essays in a high school setting. A quasi-experimental design was employed, comparing outcomes between a treatment group exposed to film strip media and a control group receiving traditional instruction. Sixty junior-year students participated, with both groups completing pre-tests and post-tests to assess persuasive writing skills. Additionally, surveys gauged student engagement and attitudes toward writing. Results indicate significant improvements in the treatment group's persuasive writing abilities, including clarity of thesis statements, coherence of arguments, use of evidence, and application of rhetorical strategies, compared to the control group. Survey data further revealed higher levels of engagement and positive attitudes toward writing among students exposed to film strip media. These findings suggest that integrating film strip media into writing instruction enhances student learning outcomes and promotes deeper engagement with persuasive writing concepts. Implications for educational practice, curriculum development, and future research are discussed, highlighting the potential of multimedia tools in transforming writing instruction.
