Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

To expedite the review process, please format the manuscript in ways as follow:

Article type:

      One Column

Manuscript organization:

  • All manuscripts are expected to be prepared as a single MS Word document with the complete text, references, tables and figures included.
  • Any revised manuscripts prepared for publication should be sent as a single editable Word document. LaTex paper is also acceptable for publication, but it should be in PDF for review first.
  • Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English which will be processed through the e-journal application on the https://iocscience.org/ejournal/index.php/JLS/index site.
  • Manuscripts are sent in the form of document files with the overall length of the manuscript including footnotes ranging from 3,500-6,000 words. Manuscripts must be accompanied by an abstract in Indonesian and English with a length of 200-250 words·        
  • The systematics of writing research results include: Manuscript Title, Author Identity (Author Name, Author Agency Name, Agency Address and email), Abstract (Indonesian and English) with the following outline:
    • Introduction   
    • Method  
    • Analysis and Results
    • Conclusion
    • Acknowledgments
    • References

  • Writing citations using a footnote model following the Turabian Style 8th edition. Writing footnotes makes use of reference management applications such as Mendeley, Zotero, and Endnote.
  • The referenced bibliography should be from the most recent edition. The bibliography is written in alphabetical order following the Turabian style 9th edition. The bibliography is compiled by using reference management applications such as Mendeley, Zotero, and Endnote.

Figure and table requirement:

  • Tables and Figures are presented center and cited in the manuscript. The figures should be clearly readable and at least have a resolution of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) for good printing quality. Table made with the open model (without the vertical lines)

References format:

  • References at the end of the manuscript should be written in APA (American Psychological Association) Citation Style. Cite only items that you have read and on footnotes. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Use other published articles in the same journal as models. All publications cited in the text should be included as a list of Bibliography, arranged alphabetically by author.
