Abstract

This study investigates the influence of external factors on student learning achievement in junior high schools, focusing on socioeconomic status, home environment, school environment, community context, and access to technology. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative analyses of standardized test scores with qualitative data from surveys, interviews, and focus groups. The findings reveal significant correlations between socioeconomic status and academic performance, with higher SES associated with better educational outcomes. A supportive home environment and active parental involvement were also strongly linked to improved student achievement. Additionally, well-resourced schools with experienced teachers and favorable class sizes contribute positively to academic success. Community support and safety further enhance student performance, while equitable access to technology is crucial for modern learning. The study underscores the need for targeted interventions and comprehensive strategies to address these external influences, highlighting practical implications for educators, policymakers, and parents. Overall, the research emphasizes the importance of creating equitable educational environments to support all students in achieving their full academic potential.
